184 SOME OF THE NAWÂFIL SALÂH (SUPERORAGATORY PRAYERS) Apart from the five daily Fardh (obligatory) Salâh (prayers), one should also try to perform some extra Nâfilah Salâh (prayers) such as Salâh Al-Awwâbîn, Salâh Al- Tahajjud, Salâh Al-Dhuhâ, Salâh Al-Tasbîh, etc. for there are innumerable virtues and rewards in their performance. It is stated in a Hadith Al-Qudsî, in the words of Allâh تعالــى as follows: "My slaves acquire salvation from My divine punishment with their performance of the Fardh (obligatory) prayers and they draw near to My divine pleasure with the Salat Al-Nawafil (optional prayers)”. SALÂH AL-AWWÂBÎN There are a hundred divine merits in the performance of Salâh Al-Awwâbîn. Allâh تعالــى , grants His slaves seventy- five merits in the Hereafter and twenty-five in this worldly life. Accordingly, those who continue to perform Salâh Al- Awwâbîn shall not experience any hardship on the Day of Judgement. Salâh Al-Awwâbîn is performed in six rakahs after Maghrib Salâh. SALÂH AL-DHUHÂ In the performance of Salâh Al-Dhuhâ there are also a hundred merits, seventy-five are granted by Allâh تعالــى in this world and twenty-five in the Hereafter. Consequently, one who continues to perform this superoragatory prayer
