174 he performs the four rakah Fardh, like the Fardh part of the Zuhr Salâh, after having called the Iqâmah and then the final two rakah of Sunnah, like the Sunnah of the Fajr Salâh. There is no difference in their performance except for the intentions (niyyah). SALÂH AL-WITR Salâh Al-Witr (odd-numbered prayer) is a Wâjib (required) Salâh, which is composed of three rakahs. It is performed after Ishâ Salâh. In each rakah, the musallî reads Sûrah Al- Fâtihah and an additional Sûrah or few Âyât (verses). Witr Salâh is performed as follows: Firstly, the musallî makes the Niyyah (intention) by heart: "I have intended to perform today’s Witr Salâh for the sake of Allah”. Then they begin Salâh by saying the Takbîr (Allâhu Akbar). After performing the first two rakahs exactly like the Sunnah of the Fajr Salâh, they sit for the first Tashahhud (Qa’dah Al- Ûlâ) and read the dua of “Attahiyyâtu...” Next, they say the Takbîr and stand up for the third rakah. Then they read Sûrah Al-Fâtihah and an additional Sûrah. Thereafter, they release both hands to the sides without bowing down and raise the hands as they do at the beginning of a Salâh with the saying of "Allâhu Akbar”. Next, they clasp the hands and read the duas (Supplications) of Qunût. Thereafter they say "Allâhu Akbar” and bow down as in the other Salâh (prayers) and sit for the second Tashahhud (Qa’dah Al-Âkhirah) after the prostrations.
