ILM AL-HÂL
108 It is permissible to read the Holy Qur’ân and engage in zikrullâh (remembrance of Allâh) during the disliked times. From the beginning time of Salâh Al-Fajr until sunrise, with the exception of the Sunnah rakahs of Salâh Al-Fajr, and from the performance of Salâh Al-Asr to sunset, it is Makrûh (disliked) to perform any Nâfilah (superoragotary) Salâh (prayers). (AL-ADHÂN AND AL-IQÂMAH) To call Adhân for a Fardh (obligatory) Salâh is a Sunnah Al-Muakkadah, close to the status of a Wâjib (required) act. The beginning time of a Salâh is announced by Adhân. Adhân is proclaimed five times daily, as there are five Fardh (obligatory) Salâh a day. Adhân consists of the following words: اَللُّ اَكْبَرُ اَللُّ اَكْبَرُ. .ُ اَللُّ اَكْبَرُ اَللُّ اَكْبَر اَشْهَدُ اَنْ لٰ اِلٰهَ اِلّ اللُّ. .ُّ اَشْهَدُ اَنْ لٰ اِلٰهَ اِلّ الل اَشْهَدُ اَنّ مُحَمّدًا رَسُولُ اللِّ. .ِّ اَشْهَدُ اَنّ مُحَمّدًا رَسُولُ الل حَىّ عَلَى الصّلٰةِ. .ِ حَىّ عَلَى الصّلٰة حَىّ عَلَى الْفَلَحِ. .ِ حَىّ عَلَى الْفَلَح اَللُّ اَكْبَرُ اَللُّ اَكْبَرُ. لٰ اِلٰهَ اِلّ اللُّ.
