43 BELIEF in AL-YAWM AL-ÂKHIR (the DAY of JUDGEMENT) The fifth article of Îmân (faith) is to believe in the day of Qiyâmah (Judgment). In other words, it is to believe in the matters pertaining the life after death including blowing of the Sûr (trumpet), raising of the dead from their graves, book of deeds, assembling on the plains of Mahshar for the final judgement, questioning, weighing of the deeds on Mîzân (scale), Al-Shafâ’ah (intercession), Al-Sirât (bridge), Al-Kawthar (fountain), Al-Jannah (paradise) and Al-Jahannam (hell). Al-Âkhirah (The Hereafter) is the endless life after this temporary worldly life. Allâh تعالــى has created this world and the whole creation for a limited period of time. When Isrâfîl عليــه الســام blows the Sûr (trumpet) for the first time,
