29 BELIEF IN THE ANBIYÂ عليهم السلام (PROPHETS) The fourth article of Îmân (faith) is to believe in the Prophets عليهم السلم . The prophets عليهم السلم were selected individuals who were sent by Allâh تعالــى to convey Allâh’s dîn, commands, prohibitions, and tidings to His servants. The prophets عليهـم السـام acted as a means of turning man away from corruptions like associating partners with Allâh تعالــى , or worshipping idols and guiding true believers to happiness both in this world and the Hereafter. As the intelligence of man is insufficient by itself to find the right way to salvation, Allâh تعالــى , sent prophets عليهــم الســام for His servants to guide them to the eternal bliss and the right path. The prophets عليهــم الســام were supported by Allâh تعالــى , with miracles in which many extraordinary events
