202 SAJDAH AL-TILÂWAH (THE VERSES REQUIRING PROSTRATION) Alongside those verses of Sajdah Al-Tilâwah (verses of prostration) in the Glorious Qur’ân are written “Sajdah” ســجدة (prostration). When one recites any of these verses while reciting the Glorious Qur’ân, it becomes Wâjib (required) on them to perform Sajdah Al-Tilâwah. Upon the completion of such a verse, one stands up, faces towards Qiblah and says "Allâhu Akbar” without raising the hands. They then prostrate and recite three times the Tasbîh “Subhâna Rabb’iyal-alâ”. Then, they rise from Sajdah with the saying of Allâhu Akbar and read the following dua (supplication): “Sami‘nâ wa ata‘nâ, ghufrânaka Rabb’anâ wa ilayka'l- masîr.” THE ÂYÂT (VERSES) OF SAJDAH (PROSTRATION) IN THE GLORIOUS QUR’ÂN 1.
