For this reason, if one carries the responsibility of a daily Salâh, which they have failed to perform at its proper time because of carelessness or laziness, they shouldmake it up without any further delay and ask Allah’s forgiveness for that. One who has missed many Salâh (prayers) first calculates what they owe. Then they begin performing them from the most recent to the past ones until they all finish. Although it is permissible to start performing them from the very beginning, it is better to start from the last, for the punishment of those missed in one’s older age will be greater compared to the younger ages. From this point of view, it is better to try earning forgiveness for the most recent ones. When performing Qadhâ Salâh (prayers), one performs only the Fardh (obligatory) and the Witr Salâh (Prayers). The missed Sunnah are not made up. Qadhâ Salâh (prayers) can be prayed anytime except the Makrûh (disliked) times. One who has missed daily Salâh (prayers) in the past is allowed to perform the Sunnah of the five daily SALÂH, Salâh Al-Tahajjud, Salâh Al-Awwâbîn, Salâh Al-Dhuhâ, Salâh Al-Tasbîh, Salâh Al-Hâjah performed on the holy nights and the other Salâh Al-Nawafil (superoragatory prayers). There is no objection in performing them while having missed Salâh in the past.
