ILM AL-HÂL
150 * لٰ اِلٰهَ اِلّ اللُّ وَحْدَهُ لٰ شَر۪يكَ لَهُ *ْ ّاَللُّ اَكْبَر لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ يُحْي۪ى وَيُم۪يتُ وَهُوَ حَى * وَهُوَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَد۪يرٌ *ُ لٰ يَمُوتُ بِيَدِهِ الْخَيْر “Allâhu Akbar, Lâ ilâha iIlallâhu wahdahû lâ sharîka lah, Lahu'l-mulku wa lahu'l-hamdu yuhyî wa yumît, Wa huwa Hayyun lâ-yamûtu biyadihi'l-khayr, Wa huwa alâ-kulli shay’in-Qadîr”. 32 Following these expressions of Takbîr, Tahmîd and Tahlîl, musallî/musalliyah raises his/her hands and supplicates to Allâh تعالــى (ILLUSTRATION: 13-14). All the Salâh (prayers) are performed in the same manner as explained above. However, in the first Qa’dah (sitting) of the 3 and 4 rakah Fardh Salâh (prayers), 4-rakah Sunnah Al-Muakkadah and Salâh Al-Witr (odd- numbered prayer) one only recites the dua of Tashahhud (Attahiyyâtu). They do not read the Salawât of “Allâhumma Salli” and "Allâhumma Bârik”. But, in the first Qa’dah (sitting) of the 4-rakah Sunnah Ghayr Al-Muakkadah, such as the 4-rakah Sunnahs of Salâh Al-Asr and Salâh Al-’lshâ, one recites the Salawât "Allâhumma Salli, and 32 Meaning: "Allâh is the Greatest, There is none worthy of worship but Allâh, Allâh is the Only One, and has no partner, to Him belongs to Kingdom and Praise. He gives life and He gives death, and He is the Living One, Who dies not, through His power comes the good and He has power over everything”.
